Dir. Organization Design and Expansion - Deer Valley Resort
Dan has focused his career on helping organizations and leadership teams become more effective in how they operate and how they create experiences for their people. His work is centered on culture, leadership, and internal people practices.
Dan is currently working at Deer Valley resort with their expansion efforts as they go through the largest transformation in the ski industry’s history. Deer Valley will more than double their terrain and will be building new villages and resort services that will turn the resort into one of the most premier ski destinations in the world.
He has worked both as an internal and external consultant to design, build, and implement critical people programs. With an MBA / Organizational Behavior and Strategy degree from the Marriott School of Business and as a certified specialist in Leadership and Management from Harvard Business School, he is knowledgeable of what leaders and teams can do to strategize and maximize the potential of their human capital.
As the managing partner at Beta Experiences, he has designed and guided experiences for leadership groups to refine their strategy, organizational health, and team cohesion. He has worked with companies in the industries of consumer goods, manufacturing, mining, real estate development, and financial services. Dan also builds and runs programs using a variety of novel activities including canyoneering, backpacking, and kayaking. He has led groups all over Utah, the PNW, California, Alaska, and the Himalayas.
Dan enjoys climbing mountains, descending canyons, racing in triathlons, and slowing down to camp with his wife and three young daughters.
